In Luke 8:49–56, the news comes that Jairus’ daughter has died. The situation feels final. Voices around him say, “Don’t trouble the Teacher anymore.” In other words, it’s over.
But Jesus responds differently:
“Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
He walks into a room filled with doubt, noise, and mourning, and speaks life where death seemed certain. He takes her by the hand and says, “My child, get up!” And she rises.
This passage reminds us of something powerful:
Sometimes your life can feel like a tree that lost a branch, broken, stripped, and lifeless.
From the outside, it looks done… over… beyond repair. But then, unexpectedly, new leaves begin to grow. 🌱
That’s what God does.
What looked dead in your life, your peace, your hope, your faith, your dreams, is not beyond His reach.
He specializes in revival. While others may count you out, God is still speaking life over you.
While the world sees loss,
He sees potential for restoration.
While it feels silent, He is already at work beneath the surface.
Affirmation:
Even when it looks like the end, I trust God is restoring life in me.
Reflection:
What area of your life feels “dead” right now, and can you believe God for new growth there?
Because just like that tree…
new leaves are proof that life is still there. 🌿

Blessings to you for these encouraging words.
