Have you ever been in the position of being stuck in life? Stuck in a life of disarray…when nothing you do seem to be going as planned…when you try to take a step forward, you find yourself four steps back to square one?
Well, it seems as if more people are having more days like this than ever before, so you are not alone! But God wanted me to remind you all including myself to consider our current posture. Are we in the position to see and hear from him? Are we posturing ourselves to welcome the Lord to fight our battles?
To answer these questions, we need to examine ourselves and look at our current stands.
Are we in the correct posture to face our current season? Many times, we find ourselves in the wrong posture based on our perception of our current circumstances. We are wearing coats in our summer seasons and tank tops during our winters when it should be the other way around. During the times when we need to take comfort and shelter in God, we find ourselves fighting a losing battle, a battle that was not meant for us to fight alone. If we take a moment to reflect on the struggles we are all currently facing or have faced in the past, we can ask ourselves if we were ever equip enough to take on all the principalities and powers that have came up against us. For the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, “ for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (KJV). And in 2 Corinthians 10:4 it warns us that,”the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (KJV).
Many of us need to alter our posture to allow God to fight our battles. If you look at the definitions of the words, “altered” and “posture”, they both require some form of action. Alter is defined as a change in character or composition. Posture is the position in which someone holds their body when standing or sitting. Alter is the change and posture requires stillness.
Have you ever considered changing your composition or stands to match your circumstances? For many times, we end up using the same strategy for everything we go through disregarding the fact that every problem is unique in its own. Each situation we face need to be handled according to the move of God and his instructions. Every miracle that Jesus performed was unique based on the situation at hand. This example teaches us that we need to start viewing our battles as opportunities for God to shine and work miracles though our lives.
Our circumstances are used to catapult us into our destiny. God takes our struggles and turn them around for our good. And often times, our moments of struggles are not there just for us, but for us to be a witness to others. For someone is waiting on us to share our testimonies. We need to be in a place that God can be glorified and to be used by God. Abraham’s posture allowed him to be the father of many nations. Moses’ posture allowed him to be used and he led the children of Israel out of Egypt. Daniel position himself in prayer and fasting to face the Nebuchadnezzar. There are many others examples in the Bible that we can use to justified the importances of positioning ourselves in the Lord. Be one of these who have altered their posture for the glory of God. For at the end of the day, the way we perceive our struggles will ultimately dictate how we posture ourselves for change we need.
An altered posture allows us to shift those things that form our perspectives, reactions and views. When we are face to face with the things we battle the most, we all need to remember that God is the resolution and revelation. We need to find ourselves in a place where God can take control. Pray, seek his face and know that he is the all knowing and powerful God. He have already predestined and fashioned us according to his will and whatever we face is not new in the eyes of God. Be strong!

May God continually bless you remain steadfast on obedience. I have been blessed and now know what to pray for.
