The Significance of Your Spiritual Season- Spring

I remember going through a time in my life when it felt as if I was in a cold winter period all by myself and then the atmosphere shift to a different feeling. My life didn’t feel as cold and dead as it was before. Things in my life was starting to be awaken by God’s grace like April’s rain. Things in my life didn’t seem a mess anymore, I got rid of the bad relationships that brought me darkness in my life. God’s blessings started showing in my life and I started to flourish again….this was my time of rebirth, fresh start and my spring. There was nothing like the spring rain from God, the spring rain signifies the abundance of blessings from heaven that comes after lifeless season.

After a harsh winter, everyone looks for that first day of spring. Spring in a sense can be considered as a new beginning because new life evolve from the earth and all the animals come out from hibernation. We can look at our spiritual lives in the same prospective after a very harsh winter of getting beaten up by the unpleasant elements in our environments and the nature of things that surrounds us we can look to this new season as a fresh start. After a period of stillness, cold and darkness we look to spring to be a time of flourishing and prosperity. When you’re in a spiritual season of spring, you just know that God’s favor is all over your life. You are like that tree in Psalms 1 that was planned by the river. “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers” (Psalms 1: 3). During this time, everything that you touches prosper, your dreams, desires are fulfilled and everything is looking up for you.

After a cold period when a person may feel spiritually dead, spring brings about the spring showers from heaven that cause a period of growth. We have people who have caused us to go through a series of winters in our live. As well as, times where we are dead financially, emotionally and socially and crave for the time of rebirth. This time in my opinion brings the best feeling in the world, the feeling that you have won, conquered and overcome. I can recall experiencing many of these rough times and after overcoming I felt as if I was a new person, I found myself again and I can do anything in this world. I can agree with Solomon when he stated, “for behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in our land”.  Spring is simply this a time of renewal.

There are a lot of positive aspects of going through a spiritual springs but there are also negatives. On the other hand, when everything is looking good many of us tend to forget about God and the harsh winter we just experienced. We tend to forget about our problems and the people who have helped us along the way. Also, we have some people who forget where they came from and the struggle they had faced once they finally reached the up and up. This is the time God requires us to praise and worship him, give back to our communities and not forget the ones who helped you to get to your spring time. When we transition into our springs time, God wants us to be renewed but never forgetting the foundation in which we started from.

Lastly, during this time, you have to be careful of the creatures that are lurking in your environment and the unwanted weeds that tend to grow and stifle you from blossoming to your full potential. During our spring time, we need to tend to our environment, atmosphere and invite the Father to dwell within. Once the Lord is in your atmosphere, he will keep out the wrong relationships, decisions and negativity out of your life. The significance of our spiritual spring season is to emerge into greatness, renew your mind, body and soul. Keep God in the midst of your spring season and your life will prosper and bless other. Keep the faith, if you are experiencing your winter season, be patient your winter is coming to an end and you will enter into your spring season.

Sincerely,
